I chose NMS out of all the other museums in Singapore because:
- Had a history excursion 3 years ago.
- The showcase of Wedding Dress Exhibition
And I realllllly loved the place and wanted to bring Bran there!
We reached the place around 3:20pm and thankfully there was a couple of empty parking lots.
The crowd was an insanely long and totally underestimated.
Don't be deceived, this was just the outside queue, as I proceed in, I realized that the queue extends out to the inner ticketing counter.
I understand that in the month of August, all NHB museum would allow free admission of Singaporeans & PR, but wow, this was way over my expectation - source.
I really love the architectural design of the building.
It's too beautiful and you must really visit it when you're free.
Even the staircases look so classy.
It's a great place for wedding shoots as well! Saw a couple posing on this staircase when I was leaving.
The antique spiral staircase that still captures my heart, mind and soul.
Everything is so vintage and gorgeous!
Of course we've the tourist poses too! hehe.
I was snapping every place I visited and Bran was saying that it is unnecessary for me, hah, he's wrong.
The Goh Seng Choo Gallery: The William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings.
Didn't take the photos here because it was all art work about the animals and plants in Singapore.
As the gallery suggest, it was all about food in Singapore since the olden days.
Most of the food still exists and are considered as local delicacies! Yums.
(not in sequence) Features Chicken Rice, Laksa, Roti Prata, Char Kway Teow, Tutu Kueh, Nasi Lemak, Bak Kut Teh, Satay & Lok Lok Mee (side pic of the basket *pic below* and can no longer be found).
So much more to blog about this amazing place, stay tuned! :D
